Does Stage crew have another name? Yes, it’s stagehands and running crew.it maintains and collaborates with all workers together and to run the show smoothly.

They do their work as scenic painters, carpenters and assist the actors. Furthermore, They can do make up, costume, and operating lighting and sound system.

Every department depends on a reliable and responsible team. So, they can have a head of competition and position in industry. We did some research and gather information that undermentioned some of them; 

It is also called the house manager, which manages all the work in the under house like passing out programs, taking tickets, helping out people and providing security. It also sees as usher in house and helping out to any other task related to the  “front house.’’ 

Contraction of the house and furniture according to show requirements. They repair and construct tables, chairs, stairs and maintain them. Well, it also builds the entrance for the show.

Scenic carpenters work under the supervision of the technical director and master carpenter. They build the scenic sets for the show. They made platforms, walls sets, door sets and prop sets.

First thought in mind is running and maintaining the crew backstage. The backstage crew roles involved in run crew, props head, wardrobe/dressers and wranglers. So, I will give you in-depth information about each crew under the following.

I wonder if most of the work is done by the wardrobe/dresser before opening the curtains of the show. Costume member team left little work to do during the show. They help the actors to quick changes of clothes during the live performances. Wardrobe is the second option if any abnormality is found during the show.

Wranglers are basically the jeans that are worn in western cultures. Here some wranglers are responsible for ensuring the children are in the right costume. After the show, they return them to their parents and guardians. Most of the time, children spent with wranglers as compared to adults.

Costume crew also  crew to help costume get into rehearsal and performance. They are maintaining the costume with their scenes. Costume attendant

take care of the costume for cast members and aid the entertainer. Here are four types of costume crew: Historical, fantastical, dance, and modern.

They have professional skills in the field and get some wide knowledge in it. They prepare the actors according to their roles in different stages. Their work is cutting the hair, straightening, coloring the hair, and waxing.

Advertisement crew also referred to as publicity crew. They work with the production team and directors. They advertise the post, programs, tickets flyers, etc the show to enhance the public.

Scenic painter also called Landscape painter in late centuries. They work to make changes according to the show ‘s role and scene and paint the backdrops, stairs, tables, and chairs.

The light crew assists the Light board operator in the show for spotlight, shadows, contrast of colors, brightness, and lighting the cues according to the show performances. Lightning technicians also take part in any fault occurring in the lighting system, responsible for repairing lights. 

The sound crew assists the sound operator board to change the effect in voice  (high and low) music. Sound designers prepare background music for the show, and also help the actors and actresses using the microphones. There are any faults in the sound system, the sound technician Is responsible for repairing the sound.

Floor crew, responsible for cleanliness of floor and organizing the store. They also need to maintain a positive atmosphere for all coming visitors.

As a member of backstage crew, fly master responsible for operating the grand curtains, and managing the travelers destiny. They make a rest schedule for backstage crew.

Property master, also called the prop head, is an early part of the stage before going to start the show. Prop master work and prepare tables, chairs, lamps, flowers  and telephone to make things more realistic. Prop head ability to turn stage into set.

SFX is special effects to enhance visual elements. They are smoke, fog, mirror, and mood lighting.

There are no special qualification required for stage crew, but some of them will help you under following things I mentioned you;
